Hey hey, friends!!
I know I kind of disappeared this week and to be honest, I have no good excuse other than the fact that I just needed a BREAK. You know?
I’ve been talking a lot on my Instagram about how the comparison trap is getting pretty real for me on social media, not to mention the massive time suck that it is, and I wanted to rest my eyes/brain for a second since the previous couple of months have just been bonkers content wise!! I really do love social media and the inspiration, relationships, and community it’s brought me – I wouldn’t change that for anything – but we can’t deny that it’s a bit exhausting. Worth it! But exhausting.
In any case, I’m back with my faaaavorite type of blog post to share with you all and that’s a link roundup of my faves from the past couple of weeks! As much as I love consuming content on social platforms, reading blogs/media sites will always be my #1. Here’s what I’ve been reading lately:
8 Ways To Live A Low Waste Lifestyle (Starting Now) – My next trip to Target will 100% include glass tupperware and I pledge to start carrying around my metal straws NOW! I already have a million, it’s just a matter of finding a way to put them in my purse without throwing them in there randomly ’cause that’s gross…
How to Tell If A Watermelon is Ripe Just By Looking At It – This is SO VALUABLE. Nothing, and I mean nothing is worse than cutting into a non-ripe melon (okay maybe a few things, but you catch my drift…).
12 Things I Learned From The 4 Hour Work Week – How do I make this my life?! More importantly, how do I convince my BOSS to make this my life??
Is Coconut Sugar Healthier Than White Sugar? – So helpful, I’m always confused. How is there so much contradictory information on the internet?
10 Natural Ways to Supercharge Your Water – PLEASE. From my post with Perrier, you guys already know that plain water is my arch nemesis in the summer. I need to start infusing my water with yummy things!!
Invest in a Few Minutes a Day for Happiness with a Five Minute Journal – I am really, REALLY going to try hard to implement this after my birthday/for the new school year (even though I’m not in school…it just feels like a good time to start fresh!).
14 Low Sugar Snacks that Actually Kind of Taste like Dessert – Homegirl cannot go a DAY without something dessert-like. It’s my vice, don’t judge me.
I love you all, have an amazing weekend, and thank you for reading!!

Yes to sustainable living! I want to toss my plastic and invest in all glass too. The waste we produce is overwhelming and just sad. I want to be better! Also… dessert EVERYDAY. What is life without a little sugar in it? NOTHING! – Kaitlyn | http://www.poweredbysass.com | @poweredbysass

AGREED. I’m going to target today during my lunch and while I’m trying to minimize the amount of crap I buy there, I think investing in some great glass containers would be so worth the splurge!!!!
When you figure out how to carry your metal straw in your purse without it being gross SHARE!
Loved the 4 hour work week post. ALL of those tips are so spot on and I need to start implementing them more since I’m already attempting to fit ten thousands things into each day.
As always, Friday Finds is my favorite!

omg wait I just saw this like $14 set from Amazon that has amazing (and pink!) Tupperware with a straw container and I think I’m going to get it!!! otherwise it’ll be in a ziplock bag and that’s not really helpful for this whole plastic thing…hahaha
