Currently… (and Friday Finds)

We made it through week 4! We did it!?

I’ll admit, my usually sunny self had a bit of a hard week emotionally (I think the LA rain had something to do with it?), but here we are, back at Friday and coming up on a “holiday weekend!” I’m sad to miss this time with my extended fam in SoCal, but I’ll be making brunch and home and Zoom-ing with everyone in the afternoon. I do feel like maybe all of this is making people connect more in digital ways, if that makes sense! And it’s nice to be together virtually?

Other than that, I’ve been working away – most of my clients are going strong in the health/wellness/food space, so it’s been busy, I posted a YouTube vlog about how we spent last weekend, I learned how to make Tik Tok videos even though I swore I wouldn’t (it’s actually be so fun ??), and am even reading a new book I love called The Last Mrs. Parrish.

I took a break on the baking this week, did a few home workouts alone and with friends (again over Zoom, it’s the best!) on Obé Fitness, DanceBody and PopSugarFitness, and also spent a lot of time watching Netflix (we loved The Boys on Amazon Prime!). I can’t say it was the most productive week, but things seem to just ebb and flow during this time!

Here’s what I’ve been reading lately…

The Ultimate Guide to Flour: How to Swap, Substitute and Supplement your Favorites – Okay this is SO HELPFUL. With everyone baking like crazy but with pantry staples running low, it’s actually pretty easy to work with what you’ve got if you know how!

10-Minute Yoga Sculpt Quarantine Quickie – My friend Kayla has been making the perfect lil yoga videos! I love that they’re short and sweet in case you don’t have a ton of motivation or are moving in between conference calls!

Easter Candy Popcorn – This is the prettiest popcorn of all time?

How to Tie-Dye – In case you need a quarantine project and don’t want to pay $100 for all the tie dye things out there right now?

Healthy Easter Recipes – because Chocolate Covered Katie always has the BEST ones!

Do you celebrate Easter? And if you celebrated Passover this week (I grew up celebrating both!), I hope you had a Happy Passover, too 🙂
