Oh hey there, y’all! What a (short) week it has BEEN.
There’s a lot going on in the world, in this country, and even personally (nothing bad on my end, just lots to tackle!), and I’m honestly just thankful it’s Friday. I’m planning to do a socially-distanced hang with one of my best friends tomorrow, maybe a hike, and hopefully some experimenting in the kitchen! I also want to start doing more reflecting week to week (acknowledging what went wrong but also celebrating the tiny wins), so here’s a quick recap!
This week’s lows: feeling overwhelmed with work and practicing not-so-great time management, plus current heartbreaking events.
This week’s highs: getting in the documents for my taxes (YAY!), submitting a new business pitch, getting mostly everything checked off my immediate to-do list, and having my podcast episode with my friend Emily came out on Monday! Since we got some really great feedback, I’ll be putting together a post on here all about IG strategy 🙂
And now, time for my favorite links from around the web!
A Resource Guide for Anti-Racism & Being An Educated Ally for BIPOC – For anyone else looking for where to start, this list is incredible. Plus if you haven’t already, please text FLOYD to 55156 to sign the petition that makes the officers responsible actually have consequences for their actions.
Easy Barley Salad with Chickpeas and Pears – I loooove salads like this in the summer! I don’t have any barley but I’m pretty sure I have farro and could sub it out.
Ted Talks Under 5 Minutes for When You Need A Boost of Motivation – 100% bookmarking this for later! I do this with podcasts sometimes but I love that these are short and digstible.
Where to Buy Fruit Trees You Can Grow in Your Living Room – YOU’RE WELCOME.
Top 10 Summer Desserts – Umm legit want all of these what the heck.
5 Healthy Hygiene Practices We Should Keep Post-Pandemic – Been thinking a LOT about this and also questioning why I never owned hand sanitizer in my 4 years of living in NYC…
Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
