August Favorites

“August slipped away into a moment in time…” (I couldn’t resist the opportunity for a Taylor Swift lyric!)

August Favorites | Dancing for Donuts

Somehow August felt like one of the shortest months all year, despite being one of the longest?! We traveled to three different places (Hawaii, Detroit and Los Olivos), I celebrated a birthday, made some big shifts in my business, made moves with our wedding planning, and prepped for our big trip back east! We leave tomorrow for our annual family vacation in the Outer Banks, so as sad as I am to see summer go, this is hands down my favorite time of year.

Bake Believe No Sugar Added Chocolate – I’m always looking for lower sugar options (you know me and my raging sweet tooth!) and these stevia-sweetened chocolates are so freaking good! I used the dark chocolate in my cookie dough fudge bars, but I’ve also eaten plenty of the chocolate chips just on their own…

Sound Sparkling Water – I’m very big on sparkling water these days and this company has the most unique flavors!! It’s super light, not sweet at all (sometimes I add stevia)

Super Coffee Hazelnut Creamer – A couple tablespoons of this creamer along with a little bit of my usual frothed milk have made my morning coffee even more magical. Somehow it’s dairy free, low in sugar, and even has a touch of protein.

Fx Chocolate Dream Supplements – As someone who has major sleeping issues sometimes, I’ve tried everything under the sun and these supplements are some of the only ones that work. They’re in chocolate form, which is delicious, but they have melatonin + tryptophan. I’m so obsessed I actually ration them…

Fresh Flowers – I used to think I shouldn’t spend my money on flowers and that it was a waste of money, but now I realize that they make me so happy, it’s worth every dang penny. Pro tip: buy the seasonal bouquets so they’re cheaper!

Aerie Quarter Zip Sweatshirt and Shorts – Pictured up top! And no joke, I feel like Aerie always kills it, so when I got a birthday coupon, I knew I couldn’t pass it up! This set is insanely comfortable, such good quality, lightweight enough for LA/summer and a gorgeous color.

Youth to the People Clay Mask – Every single one of their products is a winner, but this mask is relatively new to me and I love it. Your skin feels super clean after, but not dry, like a lot of other clay masks. Such a solid green, non-toxic beauty line!

People We Meet on Vacation – I read this book in Hawaii and it was fantastic!! The perfect lighthearted read.

Ted Lasso – If y’all aren’t watching this show yet, please start!!! It’s so dang cute and wholesome, but still makes me laugh and the storylines/characters are delightful.

What have you been loving lately?! And Happy September!
