Transitioning to Clean Beauty: Skincare & Beauty

Happy Monday and Happy Presidents’ Day!

Something I’ve been talking about a bit more on my Instagram is non-toxic beauty, and if you remember, I actually shared some of my green beauty haircare faves last month, too!

I just feel like if we’re putting in the effort to fuel our bodies with good food and move them so we can build strong muscles, why not pay a little closer attention to what we put on them, as well? Here’s a roundup of some of my favorite non toxic beauty products (both skincare and makeup) in case you want to move into a more green beauty routine too, and aren’t sure where to start!

Intelligent Elixirs Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – You guys. This product is at the top of this list for a REASON. I’ve been using the IE tinted moisturizer for about 4 months now and it is my holy grail beauty product. It’s a light coverage tinted SPF that somehow makes my skin glow and evens out its tone while protecting me from UVA/UVB rays. It’s A MUST.

Intelligent Elixirs Total Eye Repair Cream – Another favorite from the IE line is their Eye Cream! In all honesty, I would’ve put every product from this company on this blog post, but that wouldn’t have been very fun for anyone? That being said though, this cream is super moisturizing and you only need a tiny bit, so it lasts forever.

Summer Fridays Overtime Mask – So this company (started by two influencers) was super hyped up on social media last year when it launched. I didn’t give in when they launched their first mask, but this one is an exfoliating mask that smells like fall and pumpkin and wonderful cozy things. You know me, I put that sh*t in my Sephora cart faster than you can say basic. And you know what? I LOVE it. i had been looking for a good exfoliating product and this takes the cake!

Pacifica Dreamy Youth Day & Night Face Cream – If you’re looking for affordable, effective green beauty, Pacifica is the move. I’ve been using this lotion for over a year now and I can find it almost anywhere (Target, Amazon, Ulta, CVS I think…). It’s lightweight but not so much so that I don’t feel it working. And, like it says, it’s great for any time of day so it’s a one stop shop!

BeautyCounter No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil – Another thing I started using last year during my foray into skincare? Oils. I love ’em. I received this one in a swag bag after an event and it’s sooooo nice. Again, a little goes a long way, but I love the feel of this on my skin and it’s instantly hydrating. I usually put it on at night either under a light moisturizer or even just alone if I don’t need too much hydration.

Mineral Fusion Mascara, Bronzer, Foundation & Sheer Moisture Lip Tint –  And last but not least, I found a non toxic makeup company I’m obsessed with! I’ve been using Mineral Fusion’s products for about a month now and they are SO nice. I know non toxic makeup can be on the pricier side, but I promise you don’t lose quality on this whatsoever. The foundation is silky smooth, the mascara is natural and perfect for everyday wear, and I can’t go a day without using that moisture lip tint. I’m actually hosting a giveaway with them on my Instagram today, so stay tuned!

So there ya have it! Tell me in the comments if you guys have any green beauty favorites – I’m always looking for more great products to try! Thanks so much for reading and have a great rest of your day?

Ahh yes!! I don’t have the Jet Lag one (their first product that people are obsessed with!) but the pumpkin exfoliating mask is amazing! 🙂
