Friday Finds

Not gonna lie, this week felt like pretty much the longest week ever.

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds

It was a great one, don’t get me wrong, but MAN am I tired😂 There are two things I want to share with you before diving into this week’s Friday Finds (…is this the second week in a row for one? I think so…oops).

First off, I put up another YouTube video and my first one where I really share more about my business/what my life is like on a day to day basis now that I’m really doing my own thing blogging and business wise! You can find that here!

I was also on a podcast this week and in the episode we talks a loooot about my life before this year like my work experience, growing up as a dancer, moving out to LA, doing dance professionally, hand modeling, working 7 thousand jobs, attending b-school, etc. – just stuff I don’t always share on the blog or even Instagram! You can listen to that episode from the Let’s Thrive podcast with my friend Emily here.

And now, for just a few quick reads before we head into the weekend!

How to Help the Women in States With Extreme Abortion Bans – The most important thing either of us will read today.

Copycat Samoas – Listen I am ALL about a girl scout cookie, but I can absolutely not be trusted with a box of them. I love that these actually have good-for-you ingredients in them!

A Trick for Making Weekends Feel Longer – NOTED. Also, this is hands down one of my all time favorite blogs.

California Grilled Chicken Avocado and Mango Salad – So many of my favorite summer flavors in here😍

The Greatest Drink of the Year – Umm YES will absolutely be making one of these ASAP.

5 Ayurvedic Habits to Adopt This Summer – Easy, tangible, and pretty awesome honestly.

That’s all for today – we’ve got another busy one before the weekend! Happy Friday, y’all💕

Friday Finds

Hello and Happy Friday!! I am VERY happy the weekend is here😊

Friday Finds | Dancing for Donuts

I know I sort of had a short week because of Texas, but the truth about having your own business is that you don’t actually get to take days off… which means that for the days you SLACK off, you end up just having to catch up HARD afterwards😅

That being said, I know that being busy is a blessing, so I will stop complaining! Besides, I’m gearing up for a weekend of fun with friends and family, and I hope you are too, whether you’re celebrating Passover, Easter, or hey, just life in general!

Here’s what I’ve been reading this week…

18 Trader Joe’s Products Always in Our Freezers – Ugh, TJ’s for LIFE. I definitely haven’t tried some of these before so I know what I’ll be doing this afternoon…

Salted Citrus Bars – WHAT. EVEN. I actually used to not be a fan of citrus-y desserts but lately I’ve been all about lemon and orange flavored treats!

30 Minute Dance Workout with Aubre Winters – You guys Aubre is legit one of my favorite teachers in LA, PLUS she used to be a dancer. I’m low key freaking out that I can do one of her workouts at home now!

The Things You Should Invest in During Your 30’s – Maybe you’re in your 30’s (or almost like me!), maybe you’re not, but I still think advice like this is valuable! Plus Jacey is quite possibly the classiest woman alive, so that helps.

Here’s What You Need to Know About Arrowroot Powder – I admittedly bought a bag of this for gluten-free recipes but had no idea what it is…until now!😂

How to Make a Healthy Dressing to Put on All the Things – Well this sounds AMAZING.

That’s all for today – time to get back to the to-do list!! Have a great one❤️

Friday Finds

Happy Friday, friends!! This week went by suuuuper fast, and I honestly couldn’t be happier about it!

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds

I have an action-packed weekend coming up, too – I’ll be doing two little photoshoots (one for my friend’s company Journey on, Lovely and one with a friend!), catching up with people I haven’t seen in months, and hopefully going to the movies! Have you guys seen A Star is Born, yet? Is it good?

Also let me just say that I am so ready for a boring fall😅 There has been waaaay too much going on and I wish I could just go away alone for like a week or something to re-set! Anyway, here’s what I’ve been reading this week in between all the madness:

What’s in Season in October – Eating what’s in season is suuuuch a great way to not only get in more nutrients, but also save money!! Plus it’s fun to cook with stuff you don’t use often😊

Welch’s Pre-Cut Frozen Avocado – I’m sorry, WHAT?! WHERE.

How to Make Pumpkin Soup in 20 Minutes – Umm definitely doing this next week.

The Funny, Small Things We Avoid Spending Money On – Reading this made me chuckle a little bit. It’s always interesting to me how people can choose to spend money so differently, and I know I’m crazy about certain things like buying lunch, but not clothes that cost quadruple what lunch does🤣

Netflix’s Halloween Calendar – Anyone else obsessed with scary movies?!?! Nope? Just me? Cool.

Vegan & GF Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Monkey Bread – Could there be any more beautiful words in one recipe, tho?

Should You Be Drinking Celery Juice? – I’ve been seeing soooo much about celery juice on Instagram lately. I actually tried the Pressed Juicery one and kind of loved it!

Alright y’all, that’s what I’ve got for today! I hope you have the best weekend and do all the fun fall things!!!

Happy Friday, my friends!

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds

How cute are these lil succulents that my co-worker and I made?! We ventured to this cute flower shop called Sweet Blooms Atelier down in Hermosa Beach and I want to live there so badly!!!

Anyhoo, I apologize for taking a mini break this week, it’s been a bit hectic since I’m actually wrapping things up at my current job and randomly got super sick on Tuesday. Luckily I don’t think I have that nasty flu going around, so that’s a plus!!! And I’m fully aware that I’ve been saying this for weeks, but I DO have lots of stuff coming for you guys, and since I actually do have free time next week, you can expect that very soon! In the meantime though, here’s another edition of my favorite links from around the web😊

The Best Veggie Lasagna (Really) – In an effort to be more plant-based, I’m definitely eyeing this one for a cozy dinner date-night in!

Does Sparkling Water Cause Weight Gain? – Well THIS is interesting…

Favorite Health & Wellness Podcasts – Somehow I’ve only listening to one of these! And I call myself a podcast addict… *smh*

5 Dinner Ideas for Nights When You Can’t Even – Admittedly, I wrote this article mainly for myself, but if you’re like me about 5/7 nights a week, this is a good one to keep handy😉 Might actually make that second one tonight…

Stop Living Up to Other People’s Expectations – I really, really love this.

5 Easy, Clean Swaps No Matter What You’re Eating – All of these – I really need to get my hands on that Hu chocolate!!! Have you tried it?!

The Sweetest Deal You Can Grab at Whole Foods This Week – Since Valentine’s Day is coming up😍 Send this to your honey for a hint, or just pick up some for yourself!! You deserve it.

Okay folks, that’s it for today! I hope everyone is having a great week with fun things coming up for the weekend. Thanks so much for reading and I’ll catch you soon!!!❤️

MAN this week was a long one! I’m super looking forward to having some me-time this weekend…anyone else?! I’ve been seeing people taking baths with those gorgeous and colorful Lush bath bombs a lot lately, which may be good motivation to clean my tub and then hop in there! I’ve never tried using one, but they seem glorious.

I don’t know why, but this week not only felt long, but kind of hard to get through, and not even because work has been overly stressful or anything. I think after the holidays I have a bit of a slump, just because the excitement of Christmas is obviously gone and there’s not much on the horizon. I kid you not, I literally looked up last-minute tickets for a Hawaii getaway at the end of the month randomly during my lunch on Tuesday…who knows if I’ll actually pull the trigger but it sounded SO lovely in the moment!

Anyway, back to the usj! Here’s what I’ve been reading this week:

How to Get Healthy on a Budget – Allllll about these tips. And that discount activewear business is REAL. I was just talking to my mom about this yesterday but there is NO need to spend $100 on great workout pants anymore. Save your money for something else!

The Best Search Engines for Finding Cheap Flights – For anyone else feeling that travel bug hard this month!!!

Pistachio Coconut Oatmeal – I’ve been having so many smoothies that leave me utterly freezing after I down them, so I’m thinking of adding warm oats to the rotation! These flavors sound incredible, which is no surprise since literally everything Jessica makes is unreal!

Permission to Do Less – Why do we always measure our worthiness based on our productivity?

6 Effective Workouts You Can Do in 30 Minutes or Less – ‘Cause honestly who has the time to put in an hour or more at the gym these days?!

10 Kitchen + Pantry Essentials for a Healthy New Year – This one’s another one of mine for ToBox, but I truly wanted to put it on here, too! These are some things I’m stocking up on this month to get my health & fitness routine back on track.

What about you guys? Have you found any new favorite blogs lately? Are you heading out for some mid-winter travels soon? Tell me where and make me jealous😉

Friday Finds

Friday, we meet again😏

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds | Oat Milk Latte

Thank goodness this week is a short one – with all the post-holiday catching up to do at work and in life, I’m ready for another break! We also haven’t done a Friday Finds in awhile, so I think it’s about time.

There’s been a looooot of advice floating around this internet this week in terms of health, fitness, resolutions, and really just motivation in general. It’s been great for sure, since who doesn’t need more of that, but I’m ready to take all of these tips and put them into action! I think we sometimes spend too much time planning or making lists (I am the MOST guilty of this!) instead of making it happen. The whole point of to-do lists is to check them off, right?

Okay, tangent over…not sure where that came from but I suppose my point is to tell you to just do it. Whatever it is. Take the plunge and DO IT. Like Nike…

How to Spend Less, Save More, and Clean Up Your Financial Act – I know it wasn’t one of my focus words but this year is definitely going to be the year of the hustle for me! I’ve got big things to save up for😉

7 Steps for Planning the Perfect Week – I actually love this breakdown on how to optimize your week for balance. It’s hard to fit work and having a life and being healthy and happy into just 7 days, but this outline is a good start!

Why Cooking is Part of My Self-Care Sunday Routine – Full disclosure: I actually wrote this one! I don’t think I’ve told you guys yet, but I’ve started co-blogging for ToBox this year, which is pretty rad☺️ You can find more of my writing each week on their site!

New Year Glow Smoothie Bowl – If someone could just bring me one of these rn that would be great.

8 Best Podcasts to Motivate Your Work Week – I already listen to a couple of these, but the rest I neeeeed to download! I don’t know about you, but I have a podcast queue longer than most people’s Netflix queues😅

Loaded Kale Salad – ‘Cause I’m hoppin’ back on that salad-a-day train this month (as best as I can, of course) and this one is definitely getting added to the mix!

14 Healthy Dinner Recipes to Help You Reset – These all sound delicious. Coming back from the holidays and having to plan meals/cook again hasn’t been the easiest thing in the world, so some inspiration is always welcome!

Alright my loves, have a fab weekend!! And also – if you wouldn’t mind sharing with me some of your favorite blogs as of late, I would looooove to check them out. I feel like I’m always seeing and sharing the same things!

Thanks😊

Friday Finds

Well, we made it to the Friday before Christmas😍

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds

I’m actually writing to you from my parent’s house in New York (is it weird for me to still call it MY house? Because it’s totally going to be home for me always). I feel so freakin’ lucky to have been able to come home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, since that hasn’t actually happened in 7 years! It feels so unbelievably good to be here, even if I have to work a bit remotely. Thank goodness for the digital age, #amiright?

Before I leave you for the holiday weekend, I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate) and even if you don’t, I hope you have time to relax, eat some delicious food, and be with friends and/or family. Is it just me or is this time of year the BEST because it reminds you of all the things you’re grateful for?

I’ll be spending most of this weekend baking cookies, sitting by a fire, and catching up with loved ones! I hope you get to do a version of the same😊 And now, back to our usual weekly roundup. They are some awesome last minute gift ideas in here!

5 Things to Get Rid of Before 2018 – Literally all of these, but especially #5. That was actually one of my New Year’s resolutions for this year! I did okay, but not great.

10 Genius Ideas for a Healthier Holiday – These tips are sooooo realistic, unlike so many others I see floating around during this time. Just eat the dang dessert and stop talking about your diet. Please. The kale will be there tomorrow!

Gluten-Free Dark Chocolate Eggnog Cookies – I’ve only actually had eggnog a couple of times, but I remember loving it. These sounds super delicious, and I love that they’re allergen-friendly!

DIY Sugar Scrub Cubes – Perfect for gifts or yourself!! I’m obsessed with scrubs lately. They make me feel like I’m at a spa…

9 Non-Toxic Beauty Products at Sephora – YES. I’m trying to make more of an effort to use green beauty products, so this list is super helpful!

How to Put Together a Gift Bouquet or Box at Any Budget – Literally my favorite thing to gift people is a box or bag of a bunch of different little things. These tutorials are gorgeous!

Why 30 Minutes of Cardio is the Best Workout for a Good Night’s Sleep – Considering 30 minutes is all I’m motivated to do these days, this is GREAT news.

Love y’all so much and I’ll catch you next week!

Friday Finds

Hello my friends!!! We made it to another Friday, and not just ANY Friday, but really the last Friday before the holiday break😍

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds | Spirulina Smoothie Bowl

And while I’m definitely counting down the days until I go home, my friend Susie made a really good point – rushing to get to Christmas doesn’t totally make sense since the festivities and fun really all happen BEFORE the actual holiday and then when it’s over, it’s over…SO, at the risk of sounding depressing, my message to you (and me) is to enjoy THIS moment and make the most of it😊

That being said, I will be spending this weekend catching up with friends, doing holiday things and hopefully whipping up a fun winter-y recipe! Some of the ones below have seriously caught my eye. Here’s what I’ve been reading this week:

Lemon & Cardamom Gingerbread Cookies – 110% adding these to the list for our annual Christmas cookie baking extravaganza!!!

Your Total Guide to Saving Money in a Big City – 5, 7, 9 & 10 are the MOVE you guys. Trust.

The 10 Best Trader Joe’s Snacks for Travelers – Give me anything that will make traveling over the holidays better plz.

Healthy, Edible Gifts that Your Host Will Actually Want – Rule for life: never show up empty-handed (especially around the holidays!).

The Best Natural Skin Products at Target Right Now – I’m a sucker for beauty products, but even more so for natural & affordable ones!

How to Enjoy Your Life More, Just As It Is – I seriously think I’m going to make the entire concept of this article my focus for 2018…

Christmas Cookie Donuts – Stop. It. Now. Making this weekend – DONE.

Hope y’all have a FAB weekend – savor every moment! Oh! And also Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate, I suppose I left out that THOSE festivities have already started☺️

Friday Finds

Happy Friday!!! Is anyone else counting down to Christmas?!

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds

It’s just barely starting to feel like fall here in LA (though it’ll be 80 degrees tomorrow, so scratch that…) and I’m so beyond ready to check out, sit in front of a fire, and eat some Christmas cookies. Who’s with me?!

Before we jump into today’s finds, I just want to send my love to everyone in SoCal who’s been affected by these crazy a$$ fires that are displacing people and animals left and right. The first responders & firefighters are legitimately blowing my mind with their ability to fight these things (there were 4 at once people. That’s INSANE.) and keep us safe. If you’d like to help, here’s a good resource for finding out how, and if any of you are in the area and need anything help from me personally, PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out. I’m far enough south to be able to round up goods and bring them to you, house your dogs or cats, whatever you need!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming…

How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others – PLEASE. please. This is something I’ve gotten muuuuch better at over the years, but I still need help, as I think we all do in this era of social media!

Maple Pistachio Granola – This sounds heavenly! I love that it’s not 8 thousand ingredients and is relatively low sugar.

3 Non-Boozy Drinks *Everyone* Can Enjoy – Let’s be honest, I’m not a big drinker, but I loooooove drinks. And also holding onto something at parties, y’know?

Cardamom-Spiced Pear Crumble – Crumble is one of those desserts I think is so beyond perfect for winter. Especially when you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top😏

Gluten Free Cutout Cookies – More allergen free recipes because I think literally everyone should be in on the holiday cookie fun!!

5 Feng Shui & Decluttering Hacks for a High Vibe Home – This one’s mainly for couples, but honestly, anyone could use these tips…! *raises hand

Why Gut Health Matters & How to Clean Up a Dirty Diet – A super informative read. Definitely need to work on this!

Friday Finds

Hey Babes! Another Friday is heeeeeere!

Dancing for Donuts | Friday Finds | Golden Milk Latte with Moon Deli Tonics

In one week at this time, I will be hanging with my family and getting some work done on our couch, possible by the fire. PUMPED. I’ve got a boat load of things to get done before that though, so it’d be smart to keep my excitement and daydreaming to a minimum until then…

In the meantime! My weekly roundup as per usj 🙂

Trader Joe’s Now has $3 Dairy-Free Whipped Cream – F. YES.

Peanut Sauce – Wait. I literally want to put this on everything.

5 Exercises to Do in the Morning That’ll Give You More Energy – I seriously miss working out in the mornings, but evening workouts just fit better with my schedule now. Maybe I should start doing these shorter videos before work…are you a morning workout person?

Healthy & Easy Thanksgiving Recipes – In case you still need ideas! Those pumpkin spiced corn muffins are kind of making me hungry again rn…

How to Bullet Journal with a Traditional Planner or Notebook – I can’t tell you how badly I needed this post. I’ve heard such amazing things about bullet-journaling, but really don’t need to order another book/notebook. Love that I can just use one I already have!

A Doctor Shares: The Best Snack for Gut Health – Not only does this recipe sound delish (and easy to make!), but there’s some really good advice in here!

If you’re celebrating a Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving early this weekend, have so much fun and don’t worry about the calories too much, okay? The gym will still be there tomorrow, I promise.
