Happy Friday and Holiday Weekend!!
Although this year’s July 4th looks much more uneventful than any other year, I’m still looking forward to a few days of relaxing! Because I run my own business, I’m not fully off, but this one of those holidays that *everyone* in the country celebrates, so email is definitely a loooot lighter.
I’m hoping to spend some time outside (maybe a picnic or long walk in the fancy neighborhood nearby since beaches are closed here in LA) and read! I also want to make tomorrow still feel exciting, so I think we’ll do a fun brunch in the morning and a bbq feast in the evening with a gluten-free fruit pie 🙂
If you’re still looking for ideas on what to make, here are some ~delicious~ finds from the internet this week!
Blueberry Yogurt Cookies – Here for any cookie that sounds like it could appropriately pass for breakfast.
The Best 4th of July Groceries to Pick up at Trader Joe’s – Ahh, my favorite place!! I don’t know why, but I really want to try those corn dogs…
Frozen Yogurt Bark with Berries – I’ve always wanted to try this!
Caprese Skewers with Blueberry Balsamic Glaze – Anything caprese is a win in my book.
Watermelon Rosé Mimosa – Because drinking starts early on holiday weekends *wink wink*
Melon Basil Burrata Salad – Pretty sure I need to go pick up some burrata immediately, this sounds SO GOOD.
Summer Fruit Salad – A dish that’s perfect for any time in the summer. I have been livingggg for all the fresh fruit these days!
Anyway, I hope that no matter what you do this weekend, it’s what you need to fill your cup. Times are still crazy and it’s okay to rest, unplug, be present with loved ones, and practice some extra self care!
Have a safe and happy holiday,
xo Jord
