8 Recipes to Make for the First Official Day of Fall

FALL HAS ARRIVED.

Definitely not in Los Angeles, but maybe somewhere? I talked about this on Instagram this morning, but basically this season is my absolute favorite for so many reasons – it feels like a time of renewal, it reminds me of being a kid, I love the weather, I love the fashion that comes with that weather, the festivities/adventures are fun, and the food is even better.

That being said, we definitely don’t get even a semblance of fall in this city and there hasn’t been a single year since I moved away from the east coast that I haven’t gotten homesick around autumn. But! It’s not all sad, I just try to do what I can to still make it feel like fall, and that usually centers around the eats! Give me allll the pumpkin spice!

So let’s cook, celebrate, and get in the spirit! Here are 8 recipes to bring on the fall flavors ?

Pumpkin Spice Latté Donuts – I made this recipe last week and posted the recipe on my Instagram. I’m obsessed, they’re the perfect texture?

Apple Orchard Punch – Is there anything Jess hasn’t thought of?! I mean this drink combines 2 of my absolute favorite things: Cider & Prosecco??

Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies – A recipe from one of my og favorite food bloggers, Averie Cooks! Can’t wait to make these – I might try to healthify them a little!

White Bean Pumpkin Hummus – For my savory peeps out there!! I think TJ’s makes pumpkin pita crisps and I bet those with this would be the BEST fall combo.

Brussels Sprouts Salad with Apples & Walnuts – Pretty sure I originally pinned this recipe for a Thanksgiving side, but I would have it any time at all in this season!

Apple and White Cheddar Scones – On the side of a butternut squash soup? Uhhh YES PLEASE.

Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese – Because fall is for comfort food and this is a slightly healthier version of the most delicious dish on the planet?

Pumpkin Queso Fundido – I’m not even like, a “queso person” and yet I am HERE FOR THIS.

Okay, it’s time to get cookin’! How are you celebrating the start of fall today?!

I made chili in my instant pot! 🙂 I might go to Trader Joes next time and get some cornbread mix so I can have cornbread to go with it!
