I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day *except* for the excuse I get to eat more treats?
Alex and I are actually in Asia for our big vaca this year, but truth be told we never do much for the holiday, anyway! We much prefer to stay in and cook a nice meal over venturing out to overpriced restaurants, so we’ll usually ball out with some nicer cuts of meat and a festive dessert.
If you’re like us, are maybe are even just hosting a Galentine’s or practicing some serious self care that night, I highly recommend making one or two of these recipes below!
Cauliflower Gnocchi with Beetroot Cashew Cream – This is my friend Bailey’s recipe and while I haven’t made it yet, I’ve had it pinned for over a year now just based on the fact that is is beauuuutiful?
Sheet Pan Steak Frites – Okay I LOVE this idea. Definitely want to make this when we’re back in town!
Cassava Flour Brownies – You guys I made these last week and honestly don’t think I’ll ever make another brownie recipe again. Highly recommend, especially fresh out of the oven?? Top with V-Day sprinkles if you have ’em!
Heart-Shaped Cupcakes – Where has this trick been all my life?! It’s GENIUS.
Red Velvet Cheesecake Loaf Cake – For some reason, I just love baking things in loaves rather than cake pans…maybe because I don’t have a good cake pan? Idk, I also just like slices of things ’cause they’re fun to eat?
Sweetheart Valentines Buddies – I kid you not, I’ve had a craving for muddy buddies for like 2 months now, I think I might need to make these when I get home, even if it’s post V-Day!
Cocoa & Nut Butter Donuts with Chocolate Passionfruit Glaze – Legit the perfect breakfast, just swap rainbow sprinkles for pink ones!
Okay that’s it, I’m getting too hungry…
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?!
