the hike up to the tree itself is quick and strenuous, but worth it! you'll see out over all of LA and can keep going past the tree to get closer to the hollywood sign.

there are many trails at griffith park, but this one is great for beginners to intermediate hikers.

this hike can get incredibly busy, but the trails are wide. you can see the ocean, and many parts of LA on a clear day. there is little to no shade, fyi!

temescal canyon

this hike can be a loop or out and back, and best for intermediate hikers. the views are mainly of the ocean and some of LA. bring sunscreen!

the quintessential LA hike, runyon does have great views and is a good workout. parking can be tricky, just prepare for a hike before the hike and crowds!
