Scenes From The Weekend: My Brother’s Wedding!

Hi friends and Happy September!!!

I wanted to drop in suuuuper quickly to say that 1) I hope everyone had an awesome Labor Day Weekend (there’s something pretty special about this “last weekend of summer” in my opinion and people always seem to be doing some super fun/relaxing things on their Mondays off!) and 2) my brother’s actual/final wedding party (of like…4) happened this past weekend in Brooklyn!

This post is admittedly more for me than it is for you, as I truly wanted to have some sort of permanent place to share my favorite photos from that day. I’ll probably be adding to this as we get the professional photos, but here are some of the shots that captured the night best from my phone and my brother’s fancy camera (he’s a photographer)?

From the bbq on Saturday at our house…

All the desserts on Saturday were from this place in Connecticut called The Cake Box and they were all gluten-free…and AMAZING. The photo of the cookie below was literally the last piece of all the cookies that was still there after 10 minutes when I realized I wanted a photo. That’s how good they were, and the brownies were even better.

From the wedding at The Brooklyn Grange on Sunday…

The venue was SO unbelievably stunning – it’s a farm/garden on a rooftop in Brooklyn and the views are insane!

Are my parents the cutest or what ^

I’ve never been so nervous to speak in my life ^ lololol. I made it almostttt the entire speech without crying, so I’d say that’s pretty good!

My mom absolutely nailed her speech, and so did my dad!!! It was amazing to hear them speak honestly, my family doesn’t usually do that sort of thing. I was really proud!!

My dress is linked here!

Those are my cousins Heather and her son, Micah! They live in NYC and I used to see them once a week when I lived there. I miss them again already!

Did my mom look like a Queen, or WHAT. Her dress was made by a girl I actually went to grade school with (hey, Marteal!!) and she designs a line called Loulette Bride. It’s beautiful!!!

So yeah, that’s it for now but I’ll definitely be updating this post as more pictures come in!! Thanks so much for reading and have a great rest of your week!
