March Foodie Favorites

Aaaaand we’re back with another roundup of my monthly faves!

Let’s just jump right into, shall we?

Sips by – Ok this one is AWESOME guys. I’m now on my second month of this subscription box, which is essentially four different teas delivered straight to your door each month for just $15. What I love most is that you can choose your preferences so that if you’re not a big green tea drinker, for example, they’ll choose other things to fill your box with. So far I’ve had some super delicious teas (an early grey has been my favorite so far!), and they also send you re-usable cloth tea bags for any loose teas, which is great since I don’t actually have a steeper at home. They’re offering $5 off your first box with my code JORDAN5 so definitely sign up and let me know how much you’re loving it!!

Yogi Cinnamon Vanilla Healthy Skin Tea – I don’t have a photo for this one ’cause SURPRISE. I drank a cup every single day and was devastated once I ran out, thus realizing how much I love this stuff. I’m a huge tea drinker (as mentioned above…) but I’m not much of a chamomile person, so decaf tea can be hard to come by. This flavor with a dash of almond milk in stevia is my JAM. Highly recommend. I was almost able to trick myself into thinking it was dessert…

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides – Look, I know this blog is for babes on a budget, which I 110% am, but I honestly think collagen peptides are worth the splurge. And, you know me, I found a GILT coupon for them and stocked up then ’cause paying full price for these ain’t easy? Collagen is great for hair, skin and nails, joint health, gut health, the liver, the heart, and the list goes on. I don’t necessarily think this brand is better than the others, but I do think they have some really cool products like collagen coffee creamer and beauty collagen in different flavors. I’ve been adding the plain one (aka the cheapest) to my coffee and tea on the daily and I definitely feel like my ordinarily brittle nails have been growing more quickly!

Maca Powder – I used to add maca to my smoothies like a billion years ago, but I recently fell back in love with it! I honestly love the ever so present nutty spice it adds, but more importantly it adds so many antioxidants and nutrients (like Vitamin C and iron) to whatever you mix it with! It also apparently helps with hormone balance (always a plus) and even boosts libido, so that’s interesting…I’ve been adding mine to my daily green smoothie!

My Air Fryer – So I’ve raved about my air fryer several times in both my tater tots post and my donuts post from earlier this week, but I’m still not done you guys. This thing is SO fun and there are so many different things that you can make in here that I’ve barely scratched the surface. In the giveaway I ran this past week (sorry it’s over??) I asked people to tell me what they’d make in theirs if they won and there were so many awesome ideas! I want to start putting more veggies in here (sort of like roasting them, but maybe it’ll taste even better!) and do buffalo cauliflower wings, fried pickles, and even fried fish. So many options!!!

Rachel’s Overnight Oats – I discovered this brand through a friend and I am LOVING this overnight oats mix. Basically it comes in a bag that’s got oats, chia, hemp and flax all in one making it suuuuper convenient to make breakfast ahed of time. Even though I have all of these ingredients in my pantry separately, when I’m really in a pinch this makes it ridiculously easy! Plus they’re certified organic, gluten-free, vegan and have zero added sugar. They come in three different varieties and are on Amazon Prime, so that’s a win! You literally can just add almond milk (or greek yogurt – my fave!) and you’re good to go.

Fourth & Heart Madagascar Vanilla Ghee – So I first tried this stuff about a year ago when it was in a swag bag from a food event. I was literally obsessed with it and when I realized I’d reached the bottom of the jar, I was so sad! Ghee itself is kind of a strange thing to understand – it’s basically like clarified butter but simmered even longer, which means it 1) has a somewhat nutty, deliciously buttery flavor and 2) has a higher smoke point. It’s also lactose free but full of.fat-soluble vitamins and healthy fatty acids, making it a somewhat better option than plain ol’ butter (depending on how you look at it). Honestly, I didn’t buy this stuff because it’s ‘healthy’ though, I bought because it’s straight up DELICIOUS. The vanilla flavor is unreal and it’s soooooo delicious on top of toast!!

Dang Coconut Chips in Salted Caramel – I’d be lying if I told you I had to use serious amounts of will power not to go through this entire bag the night I got it. The family I babysit for sometimes has these in different flavors so I already knew I’d love them, but DZAYUM are they good. They’re extra crunchy and have just the slightest flavor, so they’re absolutely delicious on oats, smoothies, or even by themselves. I can’t wait to try the other varieties!

Beet Powder – I just started adding this stuff to my smoothies this week, but I already love it!! If you’re someone who likes beets in general, I know you’ll love it too, but if you’re not, it really has barely any taste at all and when you mix it with bananas, nut butters, and more fruit! Like the maca, I love that adding beet powder to my smoothies means adding extra antioxidants plus fiber, potassium, folate, and other nutrients. I just feel good drinking it, y’know?

Okay friends, that’s it for now!! I’ve honestly fallen in love with like three other products this week after I got my first Thrive Market order in the mail, but I’ll save those for next month?

Have a happy weekend, Happy Easter, and happy April!
